Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the four vertical compositions depicting four Rajput rulers standing on a fenced palatial terrace, colourful flowers in the background, each portrait with an inscription of attribution in either black or red ink Devanagari script on the border at the top featuring in descending chronological order Maharaja Jaswant Singh of Bharatpur (r. 1853 - 1893); Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh of Jaipur (r. 1778 - 1803); Maharaja Sawai Prithvi Singh II of Jaipur (r. 1768 - 1778); and Maharaja Kishan Singh of Kishangarh (r. 1597 - 1615); the recto of each painting plain, the largest 29.5cm x 20cm.
