A late 20th century Iranian (Persian) silver cigarette box, Isfahan circa 1970
of square form raised on four bracket feet. The hinged lid with a cavetto edge, the top with deep chased monabbat-kari decoration of birds among foliage and peonies (golo morph), bordered with stamped rosettes. The sides with engraved ghalam zani peony cartouches and arabesques. Marked underneath with standard mark (۸۴), circular retailers mark possibly reading Nasro Ais Hasuri, and a further unidentified mark.
