A NEPALESE GILT-COPPER REPOUSSÉ PRABHA MANDALA.
Nepal, 18th Century.
Made in three sections forming an arch, the top decorated with an image of Garuda devouring two snakes, grasping them with his hands, flanked by images of Kinnari, mythological half-bird and half-human creatures, all surrounded by borders of flame wisps, the gilt decoration heightened with repaints of a maroon pigment, raised on a modern stand, 59cm x 50cm.
