A set of Burmese opium weights with their carved container and two scales Myanmar (Burma), late 19th - early 20th century Comprising five bronze opium weights with zoomorphic shapes, contained within a zoomorphic wooden box in the shape of a shishi, 15.5cm x 22cm; and two scales within carved wooden cases, one with two nagas or makaras on the front, 7.5cm x 16cm, and the latter with three opium flowers and lush leaves, 34.5cm long.
