An 18th century example of a carved ivory khanjar dagger hilt, a horse's head forming the pommel and its mane trailing down one side of the grip. The front of the grip slightly formed for the placement of the fingers. Two gilt decorative rivet heads are in place on each side, of floral form. Blade absent. Overall length 5 1/2 inches (14cm). (1)
