A large Ottoman carved marble turban, Ottoman Turkey, late 18th century Carved in the round, the base covered with the turban's fine diagonal folds and surmounted by a tall cylindrical headdress with elegant facets, the shape usually associated with high Ottoman dignitaries, members of the political elite and of the Sultan's entourage, approximately 37cm high.
