A FINE CHINESE INLAID SOAPSTONE FIGURE OF A SEATED LOUHAN

Qing Dynasty, 17th-18th Century

清 十七至十八世紀 壽山石嵌寶羅漢坐像

The luohan figure wrapped in long robes decorated with scrolls and the collar decorated with a wave diaper, his hands resting on his knee, the robe further decorated with semi-precious stone inlays, carved from an unctuous pink-tinged honey-yellow coloured stone, all on a rocky base.
