AN ENGRAVED CARNELIAN PENDANT, Iran, 20th century, of oval shape with rounded ends, the top densely engraved and filled in white with auspicious inscriptions, in the centre a cusped cartouche with the names of Allah, Muhammad, 'Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Hussayn (the Panj Tan), encased within a gilt metal pendant frame, 8cm x 6cm.
