Thrilla in Manila.- Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier

A rare on-site ticket from the legendary match "Thrilla in Manila", being a green Press ticket for Section 1, Row C, Seat No. 6, stub has been removed, two vertical creases, some handling wear to margins and corners, a few paper remnants glue to the verso, 11 x 17.4cm; with a rare copy of the souvenir programme for the match, original wrappers, minor handling wear but otherwise in very good condition. ***The "Thrilla in Manila" was the third and final boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, for the heavyweight championship of the world. The bout was contested on October 1, 1975 at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines, located in Metro Manila. Ali and Frazier pummelled each other four fourteen rounds before trainer Eddie Futch refused to allow Frazier to answer the bell for the fifteenth and final round, fearing for his boxer's life. Ali later commented "It was like death. Closest thing to dyin' that I know of".
