signed ASIT (lower right/verso) and inscribed this picture "Unto the Unknown" by Asit Kumar Haldar, which was exhibited at the Allahabad exhibition India in 1911 and is in possesion of G. N. Tagore of Calcutta. This is a copy painted by the artist at request October 1913 for a British officer in the Indian Army (verso)
