A George III provincial sterling silver twin handled cup, Newcastle 1799 by John Langlands II (active 1793-1804)
Of rounded circular form upon a spreading circular foot, the body with applied girdle. The hollow C scroll handled with shaped terminals. The front engraved with a contemporaneous crest of a bear’s head couped, muzzled. Fully marked to the rim and with makers mark to each handle.

Weight – 321 grams / 10.32 ozt
