A BRONZE CORPUS CHRISTI IN THE MANNER OF ALESSANDRO ALGARDI (ITALIAN, 1598-1654), PROBABLY 19TH CENTURY, the figure of Cristo Vivo with mouth and eyes open, wearing a perizonium, with holes to the hands and feet to mount on a cross, 52cm high The model for this bronze Corpus was previously attributed to Bernini but has since been convincingly attributed to Algardi by Jennifer Montagu.
