Two autograph letters signed ('Albert Edward') when Prince of Wales, the first is addressed to George Wombwell and reads "Many thanks for your letter which I received this morning. I am indeed sorry that you will be unable to dine with me on the Derby Day and still more so for the reason. Please accept my most sincere sympathy and condolence on this sad occasion", two pages, light folding marks, light splitting to lower margin slightly touching one word, oblong 8vo, Sandringham, 18 May 1875; the second letter is addressed to "My dear Huch" and reads "Many thanks for your letter and I indeed agree with you that it would be of the greatest possible advantage...if Dowes's period of command could be extended and I am sure it would be very popular in the Xth [...] You will I hope let Dowes know as soon as possible your determination ", three pages, light yellowing, 8vo, Marlborough House, Pall Mall, 10 April 1891; both letters have been pasted onto a large album page, overall size 37 x 25.5cm.
