Comprising six albumen prints, two pasted down to period card supports, four pasted down to modern archival supports, each image measuring approx. 270 x 385mm, card measuring 355 x 465mm, each signed and numbered in the negative. Views include: the Secundur Bagh [324]; the Dilkush Kothi [321]; the Chattar Manzil, from Gomti [336]; the Hoseinabad Emambara and the Tomb of Mahomed Ally Khan [347]; the Mermaid Gate of the Kaiserbagh [327]; and Shah Najaf Imambara [325].
Shepherd & Robertson established their photographic firm at Agra in 1862, moving in 1864 to Simla (now Shimla), where they joined Samuel Bourne: now Bourne & Shepherd.
