A George V antique sterling silver and guilloche enamel cigarette case, import marks for London 1927 by George Stockwell Of rectangular form with concealed hinge and scroll thumbpiece. The lid with enamelled oriental Japanese style scene of a bridge over a river with houses in the foreground and a mountainscape in the back ground, all in translucent turquoise enamel with gilt highlights bordered with opaque black enamel. The sides and base with turquoise enamel with engraved borders. Gilt interior, fully marked to base flange and part-marked it the thumbpiece underside.  Length – 8 cm / 3.1 inches Weight – 128 grams / 4.12 ozt
