A KOREAN MOTHER-OF-PEARL-INLAID LACQUER TABLE SCREEN

Probably Koryo Dynasty, 12th Century

With a rectangular panel painted to imitate striated dream stone and carved to both sides with seal script calligraphy, mounted within a broad border inlaid in mother-of-pearl to one side with four cranes among clouds and with fans and shells to the reverse, all within geometric borders, mounted on an integral stand with sides and an apron decorated with blossoms and resting upon a rectangular base,

21cm high, 22cm wide
