TWO TURKISH SILVER COFFEE POTS
Possibly Ottoman Turkey, late 19th - early 20th century

Each of compressed pyriform shape, resting on a flat circular base and rising to tapering necks, surmounted by either a conical or a stepped dome-like hinged lid with a floral-themed finial, with short curved spouts and sinuous handles on each side, the smaller coffee pot chased in high relief with rosette bouquets hanging from Western-inspired vegetal festoons, and the larger coffee pot engraved with overlapping horizontal friezes of roses and foliage, stamped repeated times on the spout and neck with a tughra mark, the numeral 80 twice, and another illegible maker's mark twice, the smaller 394gr. and the larger 401gr., the larger pot 22.5cm high.
