A THAI SILVER LADLE
Thailand, South East Asia, first half 20th century
Of typical shape, with a large hemispherical openwork bowl, possibly used as a sifter spoon, attached to a curved handle with a makara or dragon head on one end and a pyramidal three-tier lotus finial on the latter, the handle engraved with rosettes and stylised lotus flowers amidst fleshy leaves, 28cm long, 146gr.
