BORDEAUX, RED 1926 MOUTON ROTHSCHILD MAGNUM 2x1.5l

1926 Mouton Rothschild - Magnum

Ullage - 1 x 6cm, 1 x bottom shoulder
1 original label, both original cork

Two Magnums from the long lived 1926 vintage, both with original corks. The badly ullaged Magnum, is a risk, but I wanted to include it as it has the remains of the original classic Rothschild label, and this robust, tannic vintage may well have been able to survive the oxygenation from a large ullage. The other Magnum looks excellent and better than most of this 98 year aged wine.

Christopher Burr MW.

From the temperature-controlled cellar of a South of France estate, owned by a distinguished collector of fine and rare mature wines. It is worth noting that the prized damp conditions, ideal for ageing, have led to some label deterioration.

Estimated at £6,000 - £12,000
