An early 19th century German gold snuff box, Hanau circa 1800-20 Of cartouche form with an embossed scene of a figures taking tea around a tea table with a dog seated underneath, reserved with rococo scrolls and shells. The sides with engraved decoration of foliate scrolls and flower bursts, the underneath with chased C scrolls and rocaille decoration. Marked to the lower rim with indistinct marks, possibly and incuse A. Length – 8.5 cm / 3.4 inches Weight – 106 grams / 3.41 ozt
