A RARE MEISSEN COFFEE-POT AND COVER, circa 1725-30, of baluster form with an s-scroll handle, painted with vibrant sprays of indianische Blumen and scattered insects, smaller floral sprigs to the spout and handle, the domed cover similarly decorated, with an iron-red border heightened in purple and gold, and a gilt finial, 21cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue (2) PROVENANCE: Private German collection. FOOTNOTES: A very similar coffee pot and cover was in the Delphinium Collection, sold at Bonhams, 20 March 2013, lot 26. See also the example illustrated by U.
