Douglas-Home (Alec)

Typed letter signed ('Alec') with holograph salutation and subscription, to Lord Rootes ("My dear Billy"), on the printed stationery of the Foreign Office. Douglas-Home thanks his correspondent for having sent him a copy "of the Report on your Council’s Mission to the Caribbean" and remarks "I read it with great interest. I wish all the reports I have to read were so clear and well produced", one page, two file holes to the left edge, not affecting the text or signature, 4to, London, 19 July 1962.
