TWO INDIAN STEEL TULWAR SWORD HILTS
Northern India, 19th century

Both of typical shape with a circular disc at the top enhanced with a floral crown and a T-shaped forte at the bottom, one hilt featuring a curved knuckle guard terminating in a stylised dragon head, the grip curved and ribbed, 17.5cm high; the latter with a scalloped grip and openwork beaded bands outlining the disc and forte, 20.2cm high.
