An early 20th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver tea caddy, South India circa 1910
Raj period. Of elongated octagonal form with a hinged lid surmounted by a finial of a caparisoned elephant statant, all raised upon four simply chased feet. The body with embossed decoration in Calcutta style village pattern.
