A pair of George II sterling silver meat dishes, London 1754 by William Cripps (first reg. 31st Aug 1743)
Each of shaped oval form with cavetto edges and gadrooned rims. The edges engraved with an impaled coat of arms with a baronet’s escutcheon, within a C scroll cartouche reserved with rocaille and foliage. Engraved to the reverse No 3, 41 “ 7 “ ½ and No 4 42=14. Each fully marked. (2)
