A set of four George III sterling silver candlesticks, Sheffield 1788 by Samuel Roberts and Co (probably), retailed by Henry Green of London
Each of square form rising to a stepped base with tapering square section column with square knop and a tapering cylindrical capital each with removable beaded circular column. The base, column, capital each with facet cut decoration. Wooden inset filled bases. Each fully marked to the bases with maker’s mark S.R & Co, and part-marked to the sconces. (4)
