*** One of Zatta's magnificent critical editions of classic Italian literature, illustrated by some of the most important 18th century Venetian engravers. Includes an extensive apparatus and index of names and places at the end of vol. 4. The text was edited and revised by Leonardo Marcellotto (1744 - 1773) and Antonio Cilis (1772 - 1773), with the addition of a biography of Ludovico Ariosto by Giovanni Andrea Barotti (1701 - 1772) at the beginning of vol. 1.
