TEN BRASS DECORATIVE MOULDS FOR TOOLING LEATHER COVERS
Possibly Iran, 15th - 17th century
Comprising ten moulds to decorate leather goods such as manuscript covers, each of different size and shapes including four cusped cartouches filled with roses, flowers, and foliage, two with geometric star motifs, one with a hexagon filled with drop-shaped beads, and three more, the largest 6.5cm x 6cm, the smallest 2.5cm diam.
