A large George III sterling silver meat dish, London 1800 by Joseph Preedy
Of oval form with a broad edge and a reeded rim. The centre engraved with an impaled coat of arms surmounted by a crest of a lion's gamb erect and erased, holding a plume of five ostrich-feathers, within an oval bright cut engraved cartouche with rosettes and laurel leaves. Fully marked to the reverse.
