A SILVER AND GOLD-INLAID (KOFTGARI) STEEL DISH
Northern India, mid to late cm cm d19th century
Of circular shape, resting on a flat silver-inlaid base with a rosette in the centre and tulip bouquets in the cusped cartouches on the edges, the interior a fine example of Indian silver and gold inlay with a triumph of rosette medallions and sprays amidst lush vegetation, the exterior with two registers of geometric fretwork bands, 29cm diam.
