BRUNEL'S SALTASH BRIDGE, c.1859

Albumen print, arch-trimmed in upper corners, pasted down to period card, image size 19 x 24cm, card size 28.5 x 31cm. This print is a view of Brunel's Saltash Bridge, most likely photographed in the later half of 1859, when Brunel's name was added to the portals after his death that September. Together with an albumen print depicting two men in a boat, arch-trimmed, pasted down to period album page, image size 27 x 23cm, page size 36.5 x 25cm, a prize photo in the Amateur Photographic Association of 1866.
