A good quality and unusual 19th century Afghan Khyber knife or choora, featuring a multi-fullered steel blade in good bright condition and an all-steel hilt. The hilt of traditional form, but with the grip plates formed of sheet steel expertly brazed instead of the more normal organic material grips. Blade of fine construction and 59cm long. Housed in matching scabbard of leather over wood, finely made with ornate brass chape and retaining the decorative/votive tassel. Overall length in scabbard 76cm.
