A late 20th century Persian (Iranian) silver cigarette box, Isfahan circa 1970
Pahlavi dynasty, of square form raised on four bracket feet. The hinged lid with a cavetto edge, the top with deep chased monabbat-kari decoration of birds among foliage and peonies (gol-o bobol), bordered with stamped rosettes. The sides with engraved ghalam zani peony cartouches and arabesques. Marked to the interior with workshop mark and standard mark (۸۴).
