A George III sterling silver sugar basket, London 1792 by Abraham Peterson
Of shaped navette form with a reeded rim upon a shaped oval pedestal foot, a reeded swing handle. The body and foot with bright cut engraved decoration, the side engraved with a crest of a cross crosslet fitched, between two wings. Gilt interior. Fully marked underneath, lion passant only to top of handle.
