Dürer (Albrecht) The Crucifixion, woodcut, on laid paper, from The Large Passion, c. 1498, faint 'Augsburg coat of arms with GH' watermark (Meder 182, circa 1600), [Meder 120, state 'c' after the text edition], a very strong impression, trimmed to the printed border, some creasing, repairs visible only on verso, framed & glazed, 390 x 280 mm, c.1600. *** Dürer started working on his Large Passion twice. Most of the woodcuts can be dated 1496–1500, but the cycle was only finished after his second journey to Italy (1505–1507).
