A composite Indian sword with a traditional 18th or early-19th century basket-hilt and later sabre blade. The hilt with khanda-type langets and knucklebow, with stalk extension to the pommel. The langets with transverse rivet through the ricasso of the blade, which is also glued into the hilt in the traditional manner with pitch. The blade of 76cm long, curved with a single narrow fuller on each side, with etched script along one side. Overall 96cm.
