A pair of George III sterling silver wine coasters, London 1802 by Solomon Hougham
Each of circular form with a gadrooned rim, the sides with repoussé ovoid forms. Inset turned mahogany bases, baize lined undersides. Each engraved with a crest of a tower, with the motto In ardua tendit. Each fully marked to the edge. (2)
Diameter – 13.9 cm / 5.5 inches
The crest and motto are for M’Allum, Kellie-McCallum of Braco, Malcom Baron of Pottalloch, Malcom of Glenmorag
