A SHI'A LAC PENDANT WITH IMAM ALI

Of rectangular shape, the lac worked with the occulted icon of the first Shi'a Imam Ali, holding his Zulfiqar sword, flanked by angels, within a floral border, set in a pronged and lobed silver mount, the verso pierced with a stellar pattern, the pendant on a suspension loop in the shape of the royal Pahlavi stepped crown, the silver mount stamped Azari Tehran, the pendant 7.5cm x 5.3cm, 10.5cm x 6.3cm including the mount and suspension loop.
