A mid-19th century Indian Colonial silver teapot, Calcutta circa 1845 by Lattey Brothers & Co
Of shaped globular form with C scroll handle with acanthus thumbpiece, sat on a scroll and flowers spreading foot, the spout with chased and matted acanthus decoration. The domed lid with flaring matted rim and cast pomegranate against leaves finals. The handle with ivory insulators. Marked to the base and lion passant to retaining nut.
