A pair of early 20th century German silver table ornaments, Hanau by Neresheimer, import marks for Chester 1908/London 1911 by Berthold Muller
Composed of two knights in a contrapposto, each with carved ivory faces in helmets with opposable visors, one holding a shield (1908) with the arms of England and France, the other holding a flagstaff flying the arms of Wurttemberg (1911). Each standing on a square base with canted corners with pierced decoration of trailing snow drops. Each marked to the bases. (2)
