1950 Chateau Latour (1 bottle) - Ullage Mid shoulder, original label and cork
1959 Chateau Latour (2 bottles) - Ullage 2 x Low shoulder, original label and cork
1959 Chateau Latour - half bottle (2 bottles) - 2 x Mid shoulder, original label and cork
An incredible lot of Chateau Latour, with all good condition, mid shoulder is better than many bottles from the 1950s. The 1950 vintage was very hot in the summer months, so had deep intense fruit when young, and alcohol slightly above the norm. With over 70 years age, this wine has become supremely gentle and elegant.
Then the wines from the great classic 1959 vintage. One of the great Latours of all time. I last tasted it seven years ago, and it was still amazingly vibrant, not youthful, but certainly with more years to go. The halves probably very ready to enjoy now.

From the temperature-controlled cellar of a South of France estate, owned by a distinguished collector of fine and rare mature wines. It is worth noting that the prized damp conditions, ideal for ageing, have led to some label deterioration.
