A MULTAN POTTERY TILE WITH A PAIR OF GREEN PARAKEETS
Multan, Sindh, Punjab, first half 20th century
Of rectangular shape, painted in turquoise, cobalt blue, green, and red with blue outlines on a white slip-covered ground, the horizontal register decorated with two polylobed arches and a pair of green parrots amidst floral scrolls, separated by a short column in the middle and two truncated columns to the outer sides, with a frieze of three half rosettes at the top, 30.2cm x 16.8cm.
