A COBALT BLUE AND TURQUOISE-PAINTED MULTAN POTTERY DISH
Multan, Sindh, Punjab, early 20th century
Of circular shape, resting on a short foot, with a wide, gently everted, openwork rim with rosettes and an upward-turned rim painted deep cobalt blue, the interior painted as well in cobalt blue and turquoise on a white ground, decorated with several fully blossomed floral sprays stemming from a leafy tuft, the exterior painted turquoise, 26.5cm diam.
