A large George IV sterling silver milk jug, London 1828 by messrs Barnard
Of inverted baluster form upon a domed and shaped pedestal foot. The acanthus clad and hare bell C scroll handle leading to a sepal leaf rim. The body with lobed panels of chased decoration of panels of foliage, reserved with matting. Each wide with a rocaille cartouche engraved with a crest of a lion rampant with a sword between the paws. Gilt interior. Fully marked to the right of handle.
