A TIBETAN GILT-COPPER REPOUSSE 'SNOW LION' PLAQUE.
Tibet, 18th Century.
Decorated with a crouching beast with an arched back, a curly mane and tail, turning his head to the sinister with an open mouth exposing sharp fangs, the surface with traces of cold painted decoration, 28 x 21.5cm.
Provenance: a property of a Lady of Title acquired in between 1980s and 1990s.
