Black ink, pencil and gold on paper, laid on cardboard, some with highlights of opaque pigments, the vertical compositions depicting elegant slender youths in idealised landscapes in the manner and style of the great Safavid painter Reza ‘Abbasi, one wearing a Safavid taj headdress contemplating his sword and shield, the others with themes of wine, music and entertainment, within gold and black rules, 17cm x 9cm, 24.5cm x 14cm including the mount.
