Comprising thirteen carved ivory figurines, including four palanquin bearers, six attendants carrying boxes, two attendants with a water flask and a tea ewer dispensing drinks, and an eminent guest inside the palanquin holding a book or a bundle of documents, each figure pinned onto a rectangular ivory base resting on four globular feet, the base 21cm x 9cm, each figure approx. 7cm high.
