AN ALASKAN INUIT SPIRIT MASK, the fossilised whalebone having a complex porous texture, and worked into a stylised mask embellished with applied marine ivory feature inserts, and fitted with a leather hanging loop.

22cm high x 14cm wide x 7cm deep
Provenance: Acquired in the 1960's by the current owner, from Inuit artists, in the Alaskan coastal region near the Bering Sea.
