A George I Irish sterling silver footed salver or tazza, Dublin 1723 by Joseph Walker (active 1690-1722)
Of circular form with a moulded rim, all upon a trumpet foot with a cut card work junction. The field centre engraved with a mid-18th century coat of arms in an asymmetrical rocaille C scroll cartouche with foliage surround, all surmounted by a crest of a unicorn’s head erased. Scratch weight 13-01. Fully marked underneath and with town mark to the foot rim edge.
