John Egerton Christmas Piper (1903–1992), often simply known as John Piper, was a prominent British artist known for his works in various mediums, including painting, drawing, and stained glass. He played a significant role in the development of modern British art and was associated with the Neo-Romanticism movement. Piper had a deep interest in churches and architecture, and this is evident in much of his work.
